During the Summer season, a number of famous faces have been taking part in an activity called the Ice Bucket Challenge – a cause aimed at raising money for the ALS Association in the United States.

The Ice Bucket Challenge, sometimes called the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, is an activity involving dumping a bucket of ice water on one’s head or donating to the ALS Association in the United States. Nominated participants of the Ice Bucket Challenge are asked to film themselves pouring a bucket of ice cold water over their heads in a bid to raise awareness for the ALS Association. Those who fail to complete the challenge within the 24 hour timeslot are then asked to donate $100 to the ALS Association.

A number of big names have been nominated to take part in the event such as Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Lady Gaga, Shakira, Justin Timberlake, David Beckham and even the former US president George W. Bush.

Recently, some familiar faces from the Eurovision world have taken on the #ALSIceBucketChallenge, such as Blue (United Kingdom 2011), Ruth Lorenzo (Spain 2014) and Marco Mengoni (Italy 2013). Check out the videos below to watch the former representatives take on the challenge.
