The Norwegian broadcaster NRK invited the country to send in songs for the national final Melodi Grand Prix.

For the Norwegian broadcaster it's unusual to hold an open selection, because in the past years NRK always invited musicians to compose a song for the Meldodi Grand Prix. The deadline for submitting songs is November 15.

NRK also published the rules for the national final. As usual, a song may not exceed three minutes and a maximum of six people are allowed to be present at the stage during the performance.

As esctoday.com told earlier, the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix will be held February 15. Last year, Norway was a passive participant due to the low score in 2001.
