One week exactly after her 24th birthday, Sarit Hadad, the Israeli entrant to the recent Eurovision Song Contest, will give her annual concert at the ancient amphitheater in Ceaserea.
On Thursday, September 26th, Sarit Hadad will perform with a band of 11 musicians and two backing singers. The ancient amphitheater in Ceaserea is a unique venue with a capacity of about 5000 viewers. It is located in a beautiful archeological site. This site usually holds massive events and concerts and considered to be a venue for performances of national events or of the most popular artists in Israel, Shlomo Artzi (Israeli entrant '75) and Rita (entrant to the contest in '90), for example.
After selling about a million copies of her 8 previous albums, Hadad will release again this week an enhanced DVD of her last concert in Ceaserea, last year. This DVD sold since last April 5000 copies.
The new and improved version of that DVD has a better sound quality of a live performance of 16 of the singer's hits. In addition, the DVD will have the video-clips of 'Kshe'Halev Bohe' (When the heart cries), an exclusive release of 'Malkat Ha'Disco' (Disco queen), and the video of 'Light a Candle', the song Sarit Hadad represented Israel with in the recent Eurovision Song Contest. The DVD will also include some scenes and glimpses of the journey Hadad and the rest of the Israeli delegation had to Tallinn, and a new photo collection.
According to the singer's management, Hadad's recent album, 'Yalda shel ahava' (Child of love), will soon sell it's 200.000 copy, which is considered to be a huge success in the Israeli small market.
