Norwegian broadcaster, NRK, might ask EBU “to be exempted from the rule that all national selections must be finished by March 1, 2003”, OGAE Norway told esctoday.com. The show will probably take place in a venue outside the TV centre. The Oslo Spektrum (Eurovision 1996) is being considered.

The date for Melodi Gran Prix 2003 has not been decided yet. NRK is facing two other major TV events next year, the Norwegian Grammies and the World Ski Championships.

The Norwegian selection (MGP) has to be adjusted accordingly. It is possible that the Norwegian final won't take place until after the World Ski Championships, on March 8 or 15.

If March 1 is officially the final deadline to hold a national final, is unknown yet. OGAE Norway has information that March 1 is the final deadline, the EBU has not published the rules yet.
