Evridiki and Sarbel, the Cypriot and Greek representatives in the Eurovision Song Contest, visited Moscow as part of their promo tour. During their first evening in the Russian capital, the two singers were warmly welcomed in a special party held for them by OGAE Russia

Evridiki kicked off the evening by performing this year's entry Comme ci, comme ca. When asked about her favourites this year, Evridiki admitted that she likes the Bellarussian entry best. "I really like Dmitry Koldun" she said, "he He is very handsome; he has a great voice and an amazing song!"

Next one to perform was Sarbel with Yassou Maria. The reaction of the audience was very warm. The two performances were followed by an "unofficial" mini press conference, where members of the Russian press had the chance to interview both singers. There have been numerous occasions when Greek and Russian showbiz have crossed paths. Sarbel admitted to the press that he admires Philip Kirkorov, the Russian pop star and composer, who also performed a duet with Sakis Rouvas in the past.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain. I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
