Carola Søgaard (née Häggkvist), Swedish winner of the 1991 Eurovision Song Contest (ESC), will be playing the role of Fantine in the hit musical Les Miserables, which will tour Scandinavia. The musical opens on 26th October in Copenhagen.

On 21st and 23rd November of this year one can see Carola perform on historical ESC grounds when Les Miserables stages at Gothenburg's Scandinavium, the venue of ESC 1985. The Scandinavium is also the place to see other esc stars such as Charlotte Nilsson, Swedish ESC winner 1999, and Norwegian Wenche Myhre, who sang for Germany in 1968 and participant of several Norwegian finals, perform at a Christmas concert.

Carola scored a 3rd place for her homeland Sweden back in 1983 with the song Främling and won the ESC in 1991 with Fångad av en stormvind (Captured by a Lovestorm).
