DQ, alias Peter Andersen, the Danish representative at the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki, is busy in the studio finishing an album which is scheduled for a release shortly before the contest. The album will include 13 brand new songs and will be available via esctoday.com on CDON.

DQ won the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2007 after being eliminated in the semi-final only to be broughtback for a second chance via a so called wildcard. Since then, he has preparing for the Eurovision Song Contest and most things seems to be in place now; a video was released last week and now the new album has been scheduled for a release on 7th of May. At that time he will be in Helsinki so it is likely that we can expect some kind of celebration to take place.

On DQ’s new website it is announced that most of the songs on the new album will be written by the same team who wrote the Danish winning song Drama queen. A title for the album has not yet been decided. There is no informationeither regarding the possibility ofincluding the Finnish version of the song on the CD.

Due to Sidsel’s placement in Athens Denmark will have to qualify through the semi-final where they have been awarded with the 12th starting position mixed in between Albania and Croatia.
