At least three members of the original Bucks Fizz winning line-up will appear together during the UK national final Saturday night, the BBC confirmed to esctoday.com today. The group is one of the UK's most successful Eurovision Song Contest acts. Their 1981 winning song Making Your Mind Up remains a fan favorite and lends its title to the apppropriately named UK final.
Mike Nolan, Cheryl Baker, and Jay Aston will be appearing on-stage together during the UK's final Making Your Mind Up Saturday night according to our source in the BBC. The remaining original member Bobby G has a scheduling conflict with concerts already booked in Cork, Ireland, but there is still a possibility that arrangements can be for him to join the original group.
As esctoday.com reported earlier the long running Bucks Fizz dispute over the band's trademark seems to be coming to an end. The original line-up met earlier this year to record a charity single and video for Comic Relief. Saturday's performance will mark the first time these members of the original group have performed together on stage in more then 20 years.
A friend of the group reportedly told the British tabloid The Sun, "Jay, Cheryl and Mike want to put their differences behind them for one last show-stopping performance." With a little bit of luck all four member's will make the programme on Saturday.
