Plans have been made about helding an Operação Triunfo (OT) like final in Portugal. But now RTP, public bradcaster of Portugal who would broadcast it has ben delaying the start date over and over again.

Spanish producer Gestmusic is not likely to wait much more time so it seems that the two private portuguese stations could take the rights of broadcasting the program.

If OT is taken away from RTP it means no prime time program for the public-state company during the last three months of the year. All that was done by RTP was the choice of the participants so far.

It appears to be clear now that OT would demand a studio with such dimensions that doesn't exist in Portugal, it means it had to be built.

Even if RTP started to build that today, OT would start very unlikely before October.
I am sure the Portuguese fans look forward to knowing what is going to happen.
