Poland will have national final for 2003

After many unsuccessful entries at the Eurovision Song Contest, the Polish broadcaster TVP decided organize a public preselection for next year's contest. Until 2001, Polish representatives were chosen through a special committee from TVP representatives and people professionally working in culture and music industries.

A national final with probably 15 songs will take place in February or March.Viewers will vote by televoiting, which will be used in 100%. Details about the final, as well as the rules, will be released soon.

This year TVP celebrates it's 50th anniversary. 25 October 1952 TVP broadcasted the first signal. It was a pioneer in this part of Europe. Today, TVP is one of biggest public broadcasters in Europe, with 3 channels in Poland and TV Polonia for Pole in other countries at all continents. Every day more then 10 million people watched TVP in Poland and is the leader at the Polish tv market.
