The ten finalists for the Melodifestivalen final are now chosen. Tonight the Swedish televoters picked the last two songs from Andra chansen (the Second Chance round) in order to complete the line-up. After a tough battle between the eight remaining songs, Sanna Nielsen and Sonja Aldén are through to the final in Stockholm next Saturday.

After the first battle Jessica Andersson made it through to the semi final with her song Kom. That also meant that Elin Lanto and the song Money was the first one to leave the contest.

– I am not dissatisfied, not at all. My performace went really well and you can’t expect to win when you compete against artists like the ones tonight, she told esctoday.com after the show.

In the second heat of the evening, Jimmy Jansson had to accept the publics’ verdict and face that the show was over for this time. When talking to esctoday.com in the greenroom he didn’t look all that disappointed.

– I have a lot of other things on my mind these days, Jimmy said and referred to that he became a father the day after the semifinal in Göteborg.

The duo Uno and Irma lost against Sonja Aldén in the third heat. Irma told esctoday.com afterwards that they hadn’t expected to move on to the final in Globen.

– Just look at Sonja! She was amazing tonight and I think a lot of people were touched by her song. I just can’t feel unhappy loosing to her, Irma said.

In the fourth and final heat, which was considered the toughest fight, Magnus Uggla was the winner with the very typical Uggla song Kung och fosterland.

– I feel good! My goal was to reach the final or Andra chansen – and here I am. I was really nervous, but I think we all were, Nanne told esctoday.com in the green-room.

In the first semifinal of the evening Jessica Andersson competed against Sanna Nielsen. After a nerve-racking wait for the votes, the host Kristian Luuk finally announced that Sanna was ready for the Melodifestivalen final in the Globe arena in Stockholm next Saturday. However, Jessica didn't seem all that disappointed.

– My first performance this evening ws not perfect because I was so nervous, but I won and moved on. I was so nervous that I had problems hearing any reactions from the audience at all, Jessica told esctoday.com.

The last song to qualify for the final was Sonja Aldén who received more televotes that Magnus Uggla the second semi final. This means that the line-up for the Melodifestivalen now is completed.

– I had such a great respons from the audience! It was worth everything, Magnus told the press afterwards.

The winning artist of the evening were both chocked and extremely happy when they met the press afterwards in a quite chaotic pressconference in the green-room.

– Competing here in Andra chansen was such a great difference towards from Gävle. I was so nervous! And the waiting… oh, it was terrible. I am happy that Kristian Luuk gave us the result pretty fast anyway, Sanna said to esctoday.com with a big smile on her lips while surrounded by lots of photographers and journalists.

Sonja Aldén, the second finalist, almost looked chocked when she met the media afterwards.

– I feel amazing! I have problems understanding what has happened! This is bigger than anything else I have experienced so far! I felt that I was delivering something genuine and that I was a winner no matter the result tonight, Sonja said smiling.
