The 2014 Israeli Eurovision song selection was held today in order to select the Eurovision entry for Mei Finegold. She will represent Israel at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest with Same Heart.

A total of 3 entries battled to represent Israel at the forthcoming Eurovision entry. The 2014 Israeli entry was selected via a 100 public televoting deliberation whilst Mei Finegold was selected by IBA, the Israeli national broadcaster via an internal selection. The Israeli public decided to send Same Heart to Copenhagen having earned 55% of the votes.

Same Heart

Israel debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1973 with Ilanit and has won the competion 3 times (1977 with Yizhar Cohen and Alpha Beta, 1979 with Gali Atari and Milk & Honey, and in 1998 with Dana International). Israel has hosted the event twice in 1979, 1999 in Jerusalem.
