According to website en.for-ua.com, Ukraine will select its entry for Helsinki via a national final. The final features 8 acts and will be held on 9 March.

This morning website en.for-ua.com reports that NTKU will hold a national final on 9 March. According to Olena Mozgovaya, director of creative union of musical and entertaining programs at NTKU, 18 acts applied to represent Ukraine.

The acts are soloists Godo (Yuri Luk’yanenko), Yevhenia Vlasova, Vitaly Kozlovsky, Olena Hrebenyuk, Verka Serdyuchka (Andriy Danylko), Vasyl Bondarchuk, and bands Not Angels” and Aviator. None of these acts appear to have previously participated in a Ukrainian national selection.

During the final both a televote (50%) and jury (50%) will be used to choose a winer. In the event of a tie, the vote of the jury will decide who gets the ticket to Finland. Because Tina Karol finished 7th in Athens with Show me your love, whoever wins the Ukrainian national final is directly qualified for the final of the 52nd Eurovision Song Contest, to be held on 12 May in Helsinki.
