…Twin Twin with their Moustache. The war to represent France at the 59th Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen is entering its last week. France 3, the French national broadcaster, has opened the voting until Sunday 26th February.
The 3 acts, Destan, Joanna and Twin Twin, are heavily promoting their entry and they all try to get as many supporters as possible. Amandine Bourgeois, last year’s French contestant, has announced on her Facebook page that the band Twin Twin came to meet her in a recording studio, and they asked her to support their entry to fly the French flag in May. Amandine found them “adorable” and “very nice” and has agreed to support the band.
The group lately gained a lot of airplay but also negative publicity as the song was said to be a copy of Stromae’s hit single Papaoutai, the best-selling artist of 2013 in France.
France 3 will announce the winner in TV show Les chansons d’abord on Sunday 2nd March, presented by past French contestant Natasha St-Pier.
Amandine Bourgeois represented France at the 58th Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö with her entry L’enfer et moi and finished 23rd .
