Lithuania: Attention to Copenhagen!

Tonight, the 11th show of the 2014 Lithuanian national selection Eurovizijos 2014 was held in the country’s capital, Vilnius. 3 acts performed the remaining 3 songs and after a public/jury deliberation, the 2014 Lithuanian song entry has been decided.

Tonight, the remaining 3 song entries (Attention, Take a look at me now & It’s all about a boy) were performed by the 3 finalists. After a public/jury deliberation, it has been decided that the song Attention will represent Lithuania at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest.

Next week, the finalists will compete in the 12th and final show of Eurovizijos 2014. The candidates will perform the Lithuanian entry Attention and after a final public/jury deliberation, an artist will be selected and will therefore represent Lithuania at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen.

On the 15 March, LRT will hold a Good Luck Concert for the 2014 Lithuanian representative where a number of special guests will be invited and asked to perform. You can read more about the concert here.

Lithuania debuted at the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest. Lithuania’s best result to date was in 2006 when LT United was selected to represent their country in the host city of Athens. After qualifying to the grand final, the band eventually ended in 6th place with a total of 163 points.

Last year, Andrius Pojavis represented Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö with his song Something. Pojavis received 17 points in the final, ending in 22nd place.
