Crash, participants in tomorrow's Norwegian national final, spoke to esctoday.com managing director Barry Viniker about their participation in the contest.

How did it feel to qualify straight to the final in your first proper gig as Crash?
“It felt fantastic, it's our first ever gig that we played and I think we did quite well. I guess people in Norway thought the same way and we're extremely happy to go straight to the finals”.

How did you come together as a band?
“We played in a band called 'already taken' for about 18 months and then we got a record deal but they wanted us to change our name, so we became crash. One of the band members left so we became four. Then Teeny got asked to write a song for MGP and we were in his studio recording a record. He asked us to do the song”.

How did Teeny get involved again, he of course has participated at the Eurovision Song Contest before.
“We were working in his studio so he knew what we liked and what we want to sound like. He made the song to fit us.

Have you met up with Wig Wam or any of the other band members and have they given you any advise about participating?
“Yeah, we've got to know them well actually. Three of us live just 200m from Teeny's house. Yesterday we did a photoshoot with Wig Wam. They'll be here to support us tomorrow night. I don't know if they'll be dressed up as Wig wam because Teeny will be sitting with us in the Green Room”.

How strong do you feel your chances of success are?
“I think we have as big a chance as anyone, maybe a little more because we have the young audience behind us. The kids love the song which is extremely good and the feedback has been great.

If you win tomorrow, are there any plans for a tour.
“We don't know, we really haven't thought about it. Let's see what happens tomorrow first”.
