The ten artists that will compete for a Wildcard for the German national selection have been announced.
After the call for new artists’ applications to compete for a Wildcard made by the German broadcaster NDR last November, 2240 artists uploaded a video through YouTube in order to take part in this initiative.
The ten best acts have been selected and announced. These ten artists will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 – Unser Song für Dänemark: Clubkonzert that will be held in Hamburg on 27 February. It will be broadcast by NDR, eurovision.tv and eurovision.de. The audience of this event will vote for the winner of the wildcard, who will be the eighth candidate of the German national final on 13 March, joining the seven confirmed participants: Das Gezeichnete Ich, Madeline Juno, MarieMarie, Oceana, Santiano, The Baseballs and Unheilig.
