Germany: USFD acts to sing 2 songs each

NDR and ARD are the German television companies looking after their National Final Unser Song für Dänemark which will select their entry for the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest .

They have announced that each of the eight artists performing in the Grand Final will perform not one but two songs on stage at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne on 13 March 2014.

Some of the songs have already been selected and released, you can click here to listen to them and  read some more information on the seven candidates. The songs are for six of the contenders, of which two have both of their songs available.

The performers are

Madeline Juno–  is an 18 years old singer and songwriter will song Like lovers do.

The Baseballs– a rockabilly trio will sing Mo Hotta Mo Bettta and Goodbye Peggy Sue.

Das Gezeichnete Ich– the stage name for a singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist from Berlin will sing Weil du da bist

MarieMarie– she describes herself as a folk Tronic Pop singer, will sing Cotton Candy Hurricane and Candy Jar

Santiano– A well known  traditional group of  folk singers, will sing Niemals untergehen and The fiddler on the deck

Unheilig– A very successful German band, will sing Als wär’s das erste Mal

Oceana– She has a large following across Europe and gaine much name and recognition after singing  the European Football Championship 2012 song Endless summer. Neither of her songs have been announced yet.
