RUV, the Icelandic national broadcaster, has released the five songs that will compete in the second semi-final of Söngvakeppnin 2014, the Icelandic national selection show for the Eurovision Song Contest.
The five songs will be performed at this weekends (8 February) semi-final, with the top two advancing to the final. The result will be determined solely by a public televote.
The top two songs will join Greta Mjöll Samúelsdóttir and Gissur Páll Gissurarson in the final after they finished in the top two in the first semi-final. Two more song will be selected as wildcards to compete in the grand final, where six songs will compete to represent Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014.

Iceland debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1986. They are yet to win the contest, with their best result being second at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 when Yohanna finished as the runner-up with 218 points.
Last year, Eyþór Ingi Gunnlaugsson represented Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest, finishing 17th in the grand final.
