The girls from Afro-Dite wanted both beer, wine and alcohol to be delivered to their dressing room when performing at a Swedish so-called people's park. But the park administration refused. “It is very unusual to have artists make demands like these”, they say at the administration.
On Wednesday, the three Afro-Dite girls are to give a concert at the People's Park in Söderbärke, Sweden. Before that the girls had demanded free beer, wine and alcohol. Apart from the gage of 160,000 SEK (approx. 18,200 �). The park administration in Söderbärke was, however, not all thrilled about these demands, and a re-negotiation of the contract was set in motion. The administration won.
Park manager Håkan Jansson is thrilled to have gotten rid of the extravaganzas and says that Afro-Dite will have to settle for simple meals and table water like all the other artists. Sverre Carlsson, an artists' agent, is not too upset. “I've heard of things like these happen before. But Afro-Dite are mayflies in this business and are probably taking their chances while they're in business”, he says.
Afro-Dite have not been available for a comment.
