Tonight, the semi final of Malta Song for Europe, the Maltese national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest was held. 16 songs have competed and the top six, chosen by televoting and an international expert jury, moved forward to the final which will take place this Super Saturday.

The following songs and singers made it to the final:

1. Kevin Borg – Whenever
2. Klinsmann Coleiro – She gives me wings
3. SCAR –As long as you know
4. Olivia Lewis- Vertigo
5. Pamela –All about a life
6. Trilogy – Starlight

Due to Fabrizio Faniello's last place in 2006 with I do, the winner of Malta Song for Europe will have to start in the semi final.
