Tonight: second Lithuanian quarter final ('yellow group')

Today will probably the biggest Saturday in this year's national final season. No less than thirteen countries are going to hold a show in their national selection. The way Lithuania will select their 2007 representative apeears to be a winding road. Actually, three quarter finals were supposed to take place, a 'green', a 'yellow' and 'red' one for newcomers, semi-established and established perfomers respectively. Since two of the singers who would have competed in the 'red' group have withdrawn, the songs of the third heat are directly qualified for the semi finals. Furthermore, the Litunianian broadcaster has also commissioned two entries to be directly qualified for the final.

Helada made it to the semi finals in 2005, finishing 6th with Find me.

Ashtrey competed in the quarter final of the 2006 Lithuanian selection where they finished equal 6th with Window to the world; therefore they haven't qualified for the semi finals. Stringaj, Nerri and Super Kolegos competed in the 2006 newcomers heat, not qualifying with the songs Cockroach of love, Again and Song about love respectively.

In 2006, Lithuania achieved their best result in the contest so far: LT United finished 6th with We are the winners in the final. Therefore, the winner of the 2007 Lithuanian final will be directly qualified for the final in Helsinki.
