Czech newspaper Lidove Noviny has announced today the 7 of the 10 participants from the upcoming Czech national final who were chosen based on their chart performance in the last few months of 2007. National Broadcaster, CT, will confirm the names of all ten on 9th February. In further news, CT has announced that Jiří Korn will host the national final.
Those 7 performers, who will be amongst the 10 acts competing to become the first ever Czech Eurovision entrant, are:
- Divokej Bill
- Chinaski
- Anna K
- Kryštof
- Wanastowi Vjecy
- Support Lesbiens
- David Koller
The other 3 performers will be selected from the public call for songs and will be announced by CT at a later time.
Czech Television has also announced that the host for the Czech national final will be Jiří Korn, a popular multi-talented singer, actor and TV host in the Czech Republic.
The Czech national final will take place in Prague on the 10th March 2007. As a new entrant, the Czech Republic has to qualify from the semi final in Helsinki.
