The young Swedish songwriter, 22-year-old Jonas Gladnikoff, is in the same situation as his country fellow Thomas G:son; they both have the chance to be in the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest for more than one country! Last night, Jonas took the time to sit down with esctoday.com to discuss participation, the songs and the Eurovision Song Contest.
In collaboration with other songwriters Jonas have written Open your eyes which will be performed by the Maltese sisters Charlene and Natasha in the Bulgarian selection. He could have participated with two songs, but they decided to withdraw one of the songs after it was selected. You can find out the real reason in the interview.
As he has also been selected to take part in the first Lithuanian qualifying heat with the song I will survive he is in for a chance of getting the “double”. Something only achieved twice before in the history of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Jonas had his national final debut last year with a song in the Albanian selection. This year he doubled his chances and soon we’ll know if he might be representing Bulgaria or Lithuania for the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest.
