The 1977 French Eurovision winner Marie Myriam mourns the death of her beloved husband and producer Michel Elmosnino who passed away on 20 December following a heart attack.

Tragic Christmas for Marie Myriam and her family following the sudden death of her husband Michel Elmosnino aged 67,  French newspaper Le Parisien reports. Marie Myriam had met sucessful musician and producer Michel Elmosnino only a year after her Eurovision win with L’oiseau et l’enfant to work on the song Un homme libre. The two of them immediately fell in love and remained married for almost 35 years. With Michel Elmosnino, Marie Myriam gave birth to two children and released many successful singles and albums.

Marie Myriam brought the fifth and so far last victory at the Eurovision Song Contest for France in 1977. The country will air its national selection for Copenhagen on 26 January on France 3 and one can expect more than a reference to the Eurovision lady.
