Twist to selection in Spain

Santa Fe, Nessa and Miguel Cañadas topped the televote in Spain and qualified tonight for the Mision Eurovision Final, the final two places for today went to Gerard and Poker. They were chosen by Massiel and Mikel Herzog

In a twist to the Spanish selection procedure, only the top three entries chosen by the public automatically qualified for the Mision Eurovision final. The two special guests, Massiel, a former Eurovision song Contest winner, and Mikel Herzog then selected the other to qualifiers. They gave their votes to Poker, who finished 4th and Gerrard who finished the first gala in 8th place. Who finished 5th, Baltanás missed out on qualifying despite finishing 5th in the televote and 22 points ahead of Gerard.

  • 2nd Nessa
  • 3rd Miguel Cañadas
  • 5th Poker
  • 8th Gerard

The televoting results were given from the 19 regions of Spain, and then a 20th for televoting. The results were the traditional Eurovision Song Contest 1-8 points, then 10 and 12 to the winner for each round.
