Something was brewing in Stockholm and Sweden sent the ingénue Carola to the 1983 contest wit the song Framling. Despite a false start she managed to earn Sweden third position in Munich. This young lady’s debut at Eurovision marked the beginning of a long association with the contest that endures to this day.

Alex lives and works in the United Kingdom and has been an avid fan of the Eurovision Song Contest since Carola's victory in 1991 for Sweden. He is studying English Literature and wants to focus on becoming an established writer. He joins the esctoday.com team as an Editor.
