Diana Gurtskaya, Dmitri “Dima” Koldun or the Project? Eurovision fans will find out who will represent Belarus on Monday 22nd January, during a special TV show. The Belorussian public will have the opportunity to televote for their favorite entry although the decision is entirely up to an expert jury.

The three winners of December's Eurofest were Diana Gurtskaya, with How long – a ballad, The Project, with S.U.P.E.R.S.T.A.R. – an up-tempoparody of show biz and Dima Koldun, who originally sang Angel Mechty but is said to be performing another song at the final.

Dmitry'soriginal submission, Get Up, was disqualified, and he had to turn up with a newsong at a very short notice. He didn't feel, though, that Angel Mechty is Eurovision material so he selected another song, "a ballad with an international appeal" he says, which would be produced in London possibly by authors who have collaborated with the German rock band The Scorpions.

Stay tuned to find out which of the three will finally get the ticket to Helsinki!

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
