Of course David Civera had some thoughts for the Eurovision Song Contest. He stated that his Eurovision entry in 2001, Dile que la quiero, has been his talisman because of the good luck it brought to him. David Civera represented Spain in the 2001 Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, Denmark with Dile que la quiero, reaching the 6th position. The song does mean a lot to David Civera as it continues to be the best result for Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest in the past 13 years, it became a summer hit in 2001 and it marked the start of a successful career for the singer.
