Lulu's big night

The legendary Lulu, 1969 Eurovision winner, appeared on BBC 1 on Christmas Eve. On the prime-time 18:00 television slot, she appeared on the new show Duet impossible, where stars past and present do a duet together, and with the power of technology look as if they are singing together.

The show featured alive artistssinging withdead pop stars, and via technology it looked like both were on stage. Lulu, Eurovision Song Contest winner in 1969,when there was a 4-way tie, appeared on the show live! She duetted with Marvin Gay and gave a stunning performance of Heard it through the grapevine, one of Marvin's greatest hits. Lulu also talked about how she admired Marvin and how he was a role-model for her career.

Other acts who appeared were McFly, Westlife, Katie Melua, Boy George, Simon Webbe and the Sugababes. The dead Pop stars featured Eve Cassidy, Peggy Lee and Dusty Springfield.

Lulu came 1st in 1969 for the United Kingdom in the Eurovision song contest from Madrid with Boom bang-a-bang one of her most famous songs.
