Rafael Artesero and Cristina Conde apply

Rafael Artesero, the man behind the Andorran entries at the 2005 and 2006 Eurovision Song Contest is reported to be interested in representing Spain at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki.This time he has submited his application to Mision Eurovision both as a composer and as a singer along with Cristina Conde (as a duo).Cristina is the younger sister of Anabel Conde, who sang Spain to 2nd place in 1995 with Vuelve Conmigo.

Rafael Arteserowas born in Bilbao comes from a musical family and is no stranger to the Eurovision Song Contest. He composed and penned the Andorran Eurovision Song Contest entry,La Mirada Interior in 2005, performed by Marian Van De Val. He also wrote their 2006 entry,Sense Tu performed by Jennie.

Rafael Artesero has also competed previously in the Spanish national pre selections for the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2003 his song Mi razon de Vivir was performed by Ainhoa in Operacion Triunfo 2, the Spanish Eurovision selection show. Despite the great perfomance by Ainhoa of this song, the viewers opted to chose Beth's up tempo melody Dime.

Cristina Conde has had her fair share of stardom as she was part of the famous Spanish group La Fiesta. They had several hits a few years ago. Cristina, who comes from Malaga, has also submitted her application to Mision Eurovision as a solo artist. So she has 2 chances! Her companion from the group, Urko, has also submitted his application to Mision Eurovision as a singer.

Excitement and interested is brewing up as more and more artists are submitting their applications to Mision Eurovision which will kick off in early January. The show aims to choose the best singer and song to represent Spain in Helsinki. Soon we will know which singers and artists are shortlisted and will compete to get the ticket to Eurovision! Viewers in Europe, America, Africa and Asia will be able to follow Mision Eurovision on TVE International via satellite.
