Denmark will not be in the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest. Not because Danish Malene did not make it to the Top 14. But because she finished last. The worst Danish ESC result ever.
Before the eyes of 6,000 live spectators and more than 100 milion TV viewers, Denmark only received seven points and thereby arrived at 24th place. Which is last place.
Malene ended up with the worst Danish result ever. Four points from Israel and then three times á one point.
What happened? Nobody knows. One theory may be that she seemed very tense at the ESC and therefore could not sing as lively as she had done at the rehearsals.
Fact remains: Denmark is out for 2003. Because of the worst Danish score ever.
