As confirmed by the EBU earlier today, Hungary will return to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007, after skipping 2006. Nevertheless, no further information in how the next representative is going to be chosen have been revealed so far.
Helsinki will mark the 8th Hungarian entry, including the entries that fell in the semi finals in 1993 and 1996. Hungary successfully made it through the semiin 2005, however, and will hoping to do the same in 2007.
Márta Rapai of MTV stated to esctoday.com that no decision has as yet been made as to how the Hungarian representative for Finland should be chosen – through internal selection or National Final – but promises more details on the Hungarian participation soon.
The last Hungarian entry to Eurovision was Forogj, Világ in 2005, which successfully qualified from the semi final before ending 12th in the final in Kyiv.
