Belgium's 2006 Eurovision Song Contest representative, Kate Ryan, has kicked off another promotional tour through Europe, this time to promote her new album Alive. The album was released in Spain, Greece, Poland, Slovakia and Bulgaria last month. In January next year, Sweden and Gemany will follow!

Earlier this year, Kate Ryan promoted Je t'adore in 11 countries, preparing for the Eurovision Song Contest in Athens.This weekend, Kate spoke to our partner website, www.belgovision.com about the tour, the album and much more. Since Eurosong 2006, Kate Ryan sounds less dance and more pop. "As of my first album release, it has always been my aim to slowly evolve from dance to pop music. I am very happy with the response I get on this evolution. Especially the reactions of young and old on Je t'adore. Those are heartwarming!"

Kate Ryan's third album Alive was released in Belgium in September and reached the 13th spot of the Flemish album charts. "I am very satisfied with the album itself. I have put a lot of myself in it and there are many personal numbers on it."

Last week, the third single from the album was released in Belgium. "I wrote All for you together with Niklas and Niclas, the Swedish producers behind Je t'adore. The song was written a while ago, but I couldn't have imagined a more beautiful time to release it than now," says Kate, who recently reached the covers of the magazines with her new 40 year-old lover Michael Schack, the drummer at her live concerts.

Meanwhile, Kate has started travelling Europe again. "The album was released in Spain, Greece, Poland, Slovakia and Bulgaria this month. Germany and Sweden will follow at the beginning of 2007. So we're currently doing a promotion tour in all of these countries."

What are Kate's Belgian plans for 2007? "We plan to release a fourth single from the album Alive, which still features so many potential hits. Meanwhile I'm working on the song for the Eurogames, which will be premiered in July 2007."

And what about a new participation in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008? "That's a possibility. I'm not sure yet, but I would love to take part in the Flemish selections once again. It was so much fun!"
