Following the dispute over the legitimacy of the song 'Miracle' for the Bealrusian preselection due to it's public performance at the opening celremony of this year's European Athletics Championship ceremony, Angelica Agurbash has offially withdrawn the song, along with two additional ones from the selection process. Esctoday.com has received official confirmation from Belarus broadcaster, BTRC that Angelica withdrew, and was not disqualified, as reported elsewhere. They have also confirmed to esctoday.com that Dmitri Koldun has applied with the song Angel Mechty (The Angel of Dream), the music is self-penned and lyrics are by Denis Lis.

Angelica Agurbash has decided to withdraw entirely from the Belarusian national preselection for the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest. After a wave of controversy following the discovery that the song had been performed in Sweden, which she believed to be within the rules because she was unware of any broadcast, she has decided that she will not participate at all. Angelica has been in touch with lawyers andmay persue a legal battle with the Swedish broadcasters because no contract was signed allowing her performance to be broadcast.

She had entered three songs entered for the preselection in Belarus but has now withdrawn them all. She decided that the controversy and press intrusion is too much and that she will withdraw her candidacy.

She reportedly missed the scheduled casting taking place in Belarus that all participants must appear in due to commitments in London. Esctoday.com can now confirm that this rumour is false. Angelicahad been dueto travel to London on Monday 4th December,however that trip was cancelled when the decision to withdraw from the Belarus selection was taken.

Dmitri Koldun's original entry to the Belarusian pre-selection Get up was found to be ineligable due to it's appearance on an album by the Ratzz. He submitted a replacement in time to be accepted and the song is now passing through the preselection jury.
