Katie Price looks back at her attempt to represent the United Kingdom at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest with embarrassment, she recently confided to New Magazine.
The former glamour model better known as Jordan, who this week released an album of duets with celebrity husband and former pin-up popstar Peter André, sang Not just anybody in the British Eurovision Song Conetst selection Making your mind up in 2005. A hot favourite to win, she was pipped to the post by Javine Hylton, who went on to fly the British flag with Touch my fire in Kyiv, Ukraine.
A dreadful mistake
Talking to New Magazine, Katie admitted "When I look back at Eurovision it's absolutely dreadful, really embarrassing. You live and learn by your mistakes, though, and that experience told me that if I ever wanted to perform in public again then I'd need singing lessons to get my confidence back."
It would seem that the embarrassment has less to do with the contest itself and more with her dissatisfaction over her live performance, as she continued: "I don't care about Eurovision now because I know my voice is a lot better. It just proves that if you want to do something, and you do your work, eventually you'll get there."
Katie Price is currently working through a series of promotional gigs to publicise the new duets album.
