Romania , Ukraine and Spain have finished their first rehearsals in Bucharest at the 2006 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. You can see how their performers fared, and get to know them better in the exclusive report below.

Romania
The children appear on stage from inside a book. The stage lights are white at the beginning of the song, and then change to pink and yellow. The choregraphy has been changed.

About New Star Music :
This year, Romania is being represented by Cristian Sanda-Gorun (13), Liviu Mircea Teodirescu (14), Diana-Ioana Prepelita (12) and Teodora Roxana Sima (13). These four singing actors, who come together as New Star Music, appear together as Harry Potter, Spiderman, Prince Charming and Peter Pan! They took part in the national selection for last year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Romania, where they finished second.

The four friends have all performed individually in many festivals and won several prizes. They admire Monica Anghel and Marcel Pavel, who came 9th at the big Eurovision Song Contest in 2002 for Romania, and Céline Dion, who won the Eurovision Song Contest back in 1988, representing Switzerland (long before anyone in the group was born!).

Ukraine
The stage lighting is white and pink with red squares on the background. The choreography was impressive but challenging. Nazar seems to enjoy singing maybe this was the reason for him forgetting the lyrics for around five seconds of the song!

About Nazar
Nazar Slyusarchuk was born on 20th of April, 1992 in Zalishchyky in the Ternopil region of Ukraine. His singing career began at the age of 8. Nazar studies piano and vocals at the music school of Zalishchyky. For 6 years he has been mastering choreography at the Lebidka pop and ballet group under the direction of Oleksandra Vasylchenko.

Nazar is joyful, benevolent, lively and open. He likes swimming, feeling at home in the water, and loves to ride his bicycle, listen to rap and other modern music. He is also a big fan of eating good food. Nazar's favorite hobbies are the computer and, of course, playing football. He qualified for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest by winning the national final on 23rd September.

Spain
The stage is similar to Spain's flag, the lights being red and dark orange and the background decorated with fire and hearts. Dani had some problems with his voice but in the end, the last rehersal was fine.

About Dani
Dani was born in La Mancha. He is 14 years old and studying at Secondary School. Music has played a central role in Dani’s life for many years. He started to sing when he was seven and his family and friends supported him, helping him to participate in several national musical contests.

Currently Dani continues to learn at the conservatory where he studies the bandurria, although his continued desire to learn has driven him to ask his parents for private piano and singing classes. When he is not practising his performance and artistic skills, Dani enjoys karate, and motor bikes are his great passion. These two sports are somehow linked to two characteristics of his personality; resistance and speed – similar to his artistic career.

I was born on March 27th 1992 in Bucharest, Romania. When I was 13 years old, I watched the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest accidentally and since then I have been a big fan of this amazing European celebration. I'm working for Esctoday.com since 2006 and I'm very proud to be part of this wonderful team.
