Norweigan rock and rollers, and 2005 Eurovision Song Contest finalists, Wig Wam have confirmed that 2007 will be another busy year. They have confirmed that they wll tour Japan, are planning a full UK tour and releasing a new album. The success of their first UK performance at Nottingham's Rock Rity was so great that the occasion will feature on a special DVD release in the new year.

Wig Wam have reached unexpected success in Japan. Without any publicity to date, the test release of the album Hard to be a rock n' roller…in Toko has reached number 24 on the international album chart and entered the top 75 of the main Japanese chart.

The band have now confirmed a contract with leading Japanese concert organisers, Creative Man and King Records. The Japanese record company are also planning a Japanese release of the 2005 DVD, Rock’n’Roll Revolution. Wig Wam will peform dates in February for three headline shows at:

  • Feb. 26 TOKYO – O-EAST
  • Feb. 28 NAGOYA – NAGOYA CLUB QUATTRO
  • Mar. 1 OSAKA – BIG CAT

Wig Wam are now concentrating on writing songs for the next studio album, but a tour in England is also being planned. This will most probably happen after the Japan Tour. Plans to release a new DVD, Wig Wam – Live in Nottingham Rock City are close to being finalised and Wig Wam are strongly tipped to be invited back to next year's FireFest festival after delighting both the organisers and the crowd.
