The Belarusian broadcaster, BTRC, is getting ready to enter the Eurovision Race for the fourth time in its history. A lot of songs have been already submitted and a lot are being discussed. The closing date set by the broadcaster for the submission of the songs is 20th November. At this stage, several artists have confirmed participation of their interest in participating.

The Decided
According to esckaz, popular Belarusian artists Alexandra Gaiduk, The Litesound Band and Corriana Lyavony have confirmed their participation publicly. The DaVinci band have decided to enter the preselection with Arrivederci, a song entirely in italian. Another local band with an exotic name, Borneo, will enter with the song Fingetips.

The Project of Evgeni Chalisev and Frederic have submitted the song S.U.P.E.R S.T.A.R., Russian singer Diana Gurtskaya has entered a new song How Long by Kim Breitburg and Karen Kavaleryan (Russia 2002 and 2006). Finally, Dmitry (Dima) Koldun, winner of the TV talent show Russian Stars Factory, is entering with Get Up, by Jorgen Elofsson, Maki Kolehmainenand Tracy Lipp (Finland at ESC 2002) recorded in Finland.

The Undecided
Angelica Agurbash, who represented Belarus in Kiev with Love me tonight, is still undecided although her fans all over Europe would like to see her take part once more.Angelica'steam has told esctoday.com that she has two songs withwhichshe is considering a return to the Eurovision Song Contest. The songs are a far cry from Love me tonight and are more in line with the modern softer melodies from her recent Russian album.

Petr Elfimov and Irina Dorofeeva are also reported to be interested but still undecided.

The Interested
Victor Pshenichniy and LENA are reported tohave expressed an interest to participate in the Eurofest organised by the BTRC.

The Foreigners

Esc site Esckaz also reports that there will be entries from Russian, Moldovan and Ukrainian performers as well. Mr Tikhanovich, the head of the Eurofest organising committee said that all entries will be equally judged by the professional jury in the first round, regardless of the composer’s nationality.

The final deadline for the submission of the songs for this year's Eurofest is 20th November. According to BTRC's rules the jury’s results of the first round will be announced no later than December 1st. Fifteen of the songs will qualify to the national semifinal, and then the winning entry will be decided by a combination of jury and televoting selection.
