Sakis Rouvas, the Greek pop superstar, 2006 co-host of the Eurovision Song Contest and Greek representative at the 2004 competition is planning his first concert in London. The event was scheduled for Alexandra Palace, with a capacity of 5,000 on 16th December but the concert has been postponed. The rescheduled date is set for February 24th, but this is not yet confirmed.

Sakis Rouvas is one of the most popular competitors at the Eurovision Song Contest in recent years. The Greek heart-throb has been a top star in Greece and Cyprus for several years, and fans from the London Greek community were looking forward to joining with Eurovision Song Contest fans from the UK to welcome him to the United Kingdom next month.

The star finished third at the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest in Instanbul with the song Shake It and is tipped to represent Greece again in the future. He hosted the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest along side American born Greek, Maria Menounos.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
