The one and only Valentina Monetta, the 3 time Sammarinese Eurovision representative will be gracing the stage at the forthcoming 2013 Stockholm Pride on August 1.
Valentina Monetta has represented San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2012, 2013 and will be back in 2014 flying the Sammarinese flag in Denmark at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. She will be joining the line up of the many Eurovision artists that will be attending the 2013 Stockholm Pride next month.

This is the message Valentina Monetta wants to share with all the guests and participants at this year’s Stockholm Pride, where Valentina will be performing on the big stage on August 1. Valentina will be treating the audience with her 2013 Eurovision entry Crisalide (Vola) live on stage!
Valentina goes on to add- I’ve never made a distinction between gay or straight. As human beings, a LGBT person has the same rights as everyone else to me. I’m in total favour of marriage between people of the same sex. Love is a universal feeling and has no gender. I’ve always been supportive of the LGBT community and will support it forever. I wish that we will soon be rid of stereotypes created by too many years of racism and religious culture. To love and to be loved is a right, no matter if it’s straight or gay love. The important thing is to be coherent and honest with our own feelings with no fear.

It will be the 3rd consecutive time that Valentina will fly the Sammerinese flag at the Eurovision Song Contest along with Mr. Ralph Siegel. Valentina represented San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2012 and 2013.
San Marino debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008 and is yet to win the event. The country has never qualified for the final. On the last 2 occasions San Marino was 14th and 11th in its semifinal. Will Valentina succeed in taking San Marino to the grand final in 2014?
