Marieke Duijts, of the University of Amsterdam, is conducting a survey focussing on the Eurovision Song Contest as part of her studies. This latest part of her research looks at the role of the Internet within television events. The research centres on the role of new media within television events, with the Eurovision Song Contest used as an example for this.

Marieke explains that "I am trying to measure the attitude of consumers / viewers towards the integration of different new media possibilities by Eurovision Song Contest related TV programmes. The focus of this survey will be on the interactivity of the Eurovision Song Contest and, more particularly, the contest's official website eurovision.tv".

esctoday.com supports all professional and academic studies relating to the Eurovision Song Contest, and tries to support anyone devoting their time and skills to the event. Click here to complete the survey. It takes only five to ten minutes.

We would like to wish Marieke luck and success with her studies and look forward to publishing her conclusions and analysis in the near future.
