Tonight, VTM's new musical show Just the two of us will be launched. it's actually a singing contest with a twist! Instead of solo artists there will be duos competing, one of the two being a non singing celebrity. Our partner site www.belgovision.com reports that eight famous duos in total will compete in various kinds of music, a different style every week.

Sergio, who represented Belgium at the 2002 Eurovision Song Contestwith the song Sister, will be competing together with Sandrine Andre with the song Never tear us apart (Natalie Imbruglia & Tom Jones). The rest of the duos will be :

  • Rani De Coninck & Günther Neefs (son of Louis Neefs – ESC 1967 & 1969)
  • Jo De Poorter & Chadia Cambie (De Gouden Zeemeermin 1996),
  • Tess Goossens & Reborn,
  • Nicolas Liébart & Claudia Caluwé (Spark – Eurosong 2002),
  • Kathy Pauwels & Jan Schepens (Wuyts & Schepens – Eurosong 2002),
  • Rob Vanoudenhoven & Isabelle A (Natural High – Eurosong 1999) and
  • Guy Van Sande & Kyoko Baertsoen.

The jury membersinclude former Eurosong participant Sofie, Dirk Blanchart, Zaki andHilde Norga. They will be commenting on the performances, however it is the audience that will vote off a duo every week until there are only two couples left in the final.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
