esctoday.com can exclusively reveal that Mihai Traistariu, the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest participant for Romania, did have a song for Melodifestivalen, but it did not reach the final 28. It is believed the song may have been entered by his record company. Fans of Anna Book will be less disappointed. Aftonbladet reveals that she is the voice on Thomas G:son's song

Mihai Traistariu finished fourth at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Tornero. Unfortunately for his fans, he will not be singing in the Melodifestivalen 2007 competition. Sources and rumours across the internet and press have speculated that he had entered a song. We can now reveal that a song was submitted with his vocals, but it did not reach the final 28 of the competition.

Our sources at SVT have confirmed that: "the song was in the 1400 selected for debate and selection, but it was not in the final 100. Not enough people in the jury thought it was good enough". Asked if that was because he was not Swedish, we were told "no, we did not know who the composers were when we judged and debated the songs, only the title."

Anna Book, however, will be back in Melodifestivalen 2007, 21 years after her hit song ABC she recorded Samba Sambero, written by Thomas G:son. Aftonbladet, the Swedish newspaper reports. Bert Carlson tells the paper that Anna will perform the song at next year's finals.
