Fredericia, will be joining Copenhagen, Herning and Aalborg in the race to become the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest host city.
Denmark won the Eurovision Song Contest last Saturday when Emmelie De Forest brought Denmark its 3rd Eurovision victory. Its not even been a week since her triumph that preparations for the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest have kicked off. DR is all set to showcase an extraordinary and dazzling show.

The six municipalities of Fredericia have agreed to put the ticket in on the huge media event.
– It is not yet clear what are the requirements and conditions to hold the Eurovision Song Contest. But we have agreed to join the race- says the mayor of Fredericia, Kenny Bruun Olsen.
The best location
Fredericia’s large convention center, MesseC, can accommodate more than 8000 spectators ,including the stage and all the television equipment are required– the mayor of Fredericia has added.
– Fredericia in terms of hotels has the 2nd biggest hotel capacity in the country. In contrast, our infrastructure and central location is clearly the best in the country- says Kenny Bruun Olsen.
– Then of course Triangle area houses Melodi Grand Prix here in Fredericia, he says.
Enormous advertising effect
The mayor has no doubt that the necessary funds required to host such a magnificent event can be raised. This will showcase both the city and the region, not forgetting the massive advertising impact and positive media attention it will receive if it hosts the Eurovision Song Contest.
Which city will host the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest? Copenhagen? Aalborg? Herning? or Frediricia? The race is on. DR, the Danish national broadcaster is yet to evaluate all applications and bids and then make a deliberation.
