According to escsweden.com, Swedish broadcaster SVT will announce the 28 song titles competing in Melodifestivalen 2007 next Tuesday, 10th October. The performers of the entries will not be named yet.

The announcement will take place at 15:00 CET this Tuesday, at the headquarters of SVT in Stockholm. However, as usual, only the titles of the songs and their composers will be known from this first announcement, and fans will have to wait a little longer to learn who will present each entry. Already, speculation has placed names like Sonya Aldén, Brandsta City Släckers and Anna Book in the running as possible artists, all of whom would be making a Melodifestivalen comeback if selected.

3,234 songs were submitted to SVT. The 28 chosen songs will compete in four semifinals, with the two best moving forward to the final and the third and fourth placed songs entering the second chance round. Ten entries will compete in the final on 10th March 2007. Four wildcard entries will published in December, which will complete the list of the participating songs.

In 2007, Swedenwill qualify directly for the final after Carola finished fifth in Athens with Invincible.
