The Albanian national final for the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest, Festival i kenges, is postponed by a week. This was announced by the Albanian broadcaster RTSH. The song will participate in the Semifinal on May 10th following Albania's disappointing result in Athens. You can revisit the video of Luiz Ejlli by clicking the 'play' icon below.

Earlier it was reported that the Albanian entry for next year's Eurovision Song Contest would be chosen on 16th December 2006, but now RTSH announced on their contest website that Festival i kenges will be held from the 21st till the 23rd of December.

Just as in previous years, two semi finals and a big final will be held on three consecutive days. The shows will take place at the Palace of Congress in Tirana.

In 2006, Albania failed to qualify for the final, having placed 14th in the semi final with Zjarr e ftohtë performed by Luiz Ejlli. Therefore, Albania will have to enter the semi final again in 2007.
