Spanish national broadcaster TVE has published information about its five hopefuls for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2006 in Bucharest.

The Spanish Junior:06 site also gives the names of the famous Spanish singers who will support the young artists in the festival. As expected, the list contains some familiar names from the Eurovision Song Contest, including Operación Triunfo winner and 2002 Spanish Eurovision entrant Rosa, and 2001 Spanish contender David Civera.

The details are as follows:

Miriam Figueras (9) sings with Rosa
Dani (14) sings with David Bustamente
Gabrielle (12) sings with Edurne
Manu (14) sings with David Civera
Miriam Ortega (13) sings with Diana Navarro

The competitors will each sing a song with their singing star partner, then their own entry for Bucharest alone. The TV audience will decide the outcome by SMS and televoting

The Spanish site also gives brief biographical details about the competitors main interests. You can find out more (in Spanish) at this link . Spain have a particularly strong record to maintain at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, having clocked up one win and two second places.
