Swedish Schlager mogul, Thomas G:sson, is working on a song to submit to Spain's Eurovision Song Contest selection for Helsinki 2007, according to reports.

Thomas G:sson is heavily steeped in the Eurovision tradition, having composed not only the 2006 Swedish entry Invincible, but a whole host of other Eurovision and Melodifestivalen entries such as Listen to your heartbeat (Sweden 2001) .

Rebeca's close call
Rebeca was one of the possible selections for Spanish broadcaster TVE's contribution to the 2006 contest, singing Qué no daría yo. Ultimately, it was Las Ketchup who were selected, taking Spain to a dissapointing 21st place in Athens, the second year in a row that Spain ended up in that position.

Spanish Eurovision site eurosongcontest.net confirms that the lyrics will be in Spanish, and the track will be produced in Spain if necessary, in order to adapt it to Spain's own musical style. Rebeca, for her part, is said to be extremely excited by the project, and urges Spanish fans to be proud of a good song for Spain, should she and G:sson be selected next year.
