The first of five special parties, sponsored by esctoday.com, took place on Saturday night 11 May in Amiralen nightclub.

Alcazar is one of Sweden’s most popular musical exports of the past decade and they gave the enthusiastic audience a full set of all their hits.

The next WONK Eurovision party is already tomorrow Tuesday 14 May after the first semi-final.

This party will see the first ever gig in a gay/mixed club by Eurovision Song Contest winner Carola.

She has been frowned upon by parts of the gay community for some comments in interviews dating back 13 years, but it seems that enough time has now passed for everyone to move on.

Tickets to see Carola and dance the night away to all the Eurovision Song Contest hits by UK DJ Dave Simmons cost 300 SEK and are available via Tickster, the WONK terrace bar daily from 17.00 and on the door.

WONK parties have been covered even in UK quality newspaper The Guardian, read the article here
